meet the family

I find the theme of Tropical World " meet the family"  funny, strange but realistic. Great.   And the meerkat motto an excellent one :-

''Respect the elders, teach the young,
cooperate with the family
play when you can, work when you should
rest in between
share your affection, voice your feelings
leave your mark.''

Tropical world consists of nursery cum garden, butterfly garden, tropical mini zoo, play area and cafe. The garden is unbelievably colorful n beautiful with a wide variety of flowers. Butterfly garden is a tiny enclosure with a number of butterflies roaming freely. The temperature is set tropically high. There's a tiny pond in the enclosure with a few fishes n lots of coins. A wishing well inside an artificial tropical garden? Why? People are this desperate?

The mini zoo can boast of having a large collection of diverse species of birds, lizards, insects n animals. I find their enclosures very clean n extremely tiny. Most of them stare at you as if in a trance and the rest keep on napping. The birds chirp all the time. The open enclosure with ducks, rabbits, lemurs and the play area are the most attractive features for kids. Fantastic.

We go to the library for the third time in a fortnight. Yes. The aim is to pocket 'Bookworms of the Month' award. Off we march to Abrakebabra. Alas! Yesterday's tempting economy offer is no longer there ! Today's offer Summer Special looks quite expensive. What to do?

@ Abrakebabra

The magic eatery burns a big hole in my euro wallet. So I go to The quite moments nearby and have cappuccino and feels blessed n extra good. What a wonderful life!

Historical walks - Part III

Old Famine Graveyard

While waiting for beloved BIL to drop us back home, we continue the historical walks carrying 10 kg library books. The graveyard has a stone slab in honor of those who lost their lives during the severe famine n potato blight in 1845-49 and a tiny grotto.

Half the tourists are tired n the rest are eager to reach home n nibble the books. The tiny tots pester the group about going to the beach. The sun is still bright, but the elders decide to call it a day .Good night.
