me being clumsy with words

Consolation etiquette. I'm yet to learn it. How to console someone who has lost one of her precious family members? I can't imagine losing any of mine. Can't. No. Inconsolable. So, how can I comfort others? What's the point of uttering meaningless words? But one has to also. Today one of my colleagues' brother's heart stops beating all on a sudden. I'm so sorry to hear about her loss. I can't face her, so calls her up. God ! I'm so clumsy with words !

Don't feel bad if I won't turn up on your funeral. I wish to see you alive, not dead.

I know. South Indians make lemon rice with left over rice. It's the easiest n simplest flavored rice dish. What to do, it's my easter speciality this year. I never use sesame oil for cooking or any other purpose. Thus, lemon rice without sesame oil.

A desi Mills & Boons masala with a happy ending. It's like watching a Bollywood movie. Language Hinglish. Pathetic storyline. Too much arenaline. A total hype for brainless wonders. Ha ha ha. Of course I read the book  from cover to cover .Crappy n witty, it's fun to catch the puns intended. Andaz apna apna....

The Birds & Other Stories - Daphne Du Maurier

Daphne Du Maurier is the mistress of minutiae. I'm still entagled in the first chapter of Rebecca. Curiosity kills felines so I read the abridged version of the novel. Sure I love picaresque novels but Rebecca expands beyond my limits. Mind you, minutiae in a short story is a rare treat. And such mysteries ! There are six short stories in this collection, each sui generis and quirky. They are sort of chilling n shocking. I like all of them except The Photographer.

It's the time of the year I make lots of egg omlettes.Yeah. The eggmania is going on at home. My kids don't stick to traditional easter eggs. Make a tiny whole. Extract the contents and give to mom to make omlettes. Paint n decorate the egg shells. Done. Imagine the three of them competing....
