Yahoo ! We are in UK. What if Garda catches us? Will they give us time to pack our suitcases? One of our suitcases is broken during transit. We are yet to buy one. Ayyoh. Half of us will be deported to Kuwait n the rest to India. Hee heee.
We are @ The Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark, one of the coolest places in this part of the world. Thunder of wonders !
The guided tour takes us through a forest walkway. The forest here is different from Indian ones. One can see a few flies, birds, deer and an occasional fox. Even forest here is clean ,almost artificial. And no snakes of course. The walkway takes us to the mouth
of the cave. The cave is pitch black. We board the boat. A total of 5 mins ride. Spooky. Extremely spooky. And very cold.
The boat trip takes us to the inside of the caves. We walk the rest of the trip. We spend 1 hr inside the cave. Spotlights highlight important limestone formations. This place rocks ! The guide cracks jokes to light up the cave but because of his heavy accent, they bounce back. Pffff
The return journey back to civilization is done by climbing 154 steps. 154. Anyhow, though last, I manage to reach without fainting. Now, we are ready to swallow a 'well done' dinosaur. A group of 'bikers' lunch with us. Holy marshmallows ! They are very old people. I see an ancient lady too. To climb a few steps is a Kilimanjaro task for me at this age ! Just imagine.....
Sun is very bright, it's hot but windy too. A peculiar beach. It's very clean. The shore is designed by crabs. Crab sand noodles. A sand bar divides the beach into two. The water is shallow. Waves small. Soon water moves and the sand bar disappears. My nephew shivers uncontrollably and off we go home, the happiest beach watchers n dippers.
