Right Fit Wrong Shoe - Varsha Dixit
A desi Mills & Boons masala with a happy ending. It's like watching a Bollywood movie. Language Hinglish. Pathetic storyline. Too much arenaline. A total hype for brainless wonders. Ha ha ha. Of course I read the book from cover to cover .Crappy n witty, it's fun to catch the puns intended. Andaz apna apna....

The Birds & Other Stories - Daphne Du Maurier
Daphne Du Maurier is the mistress of minutiae. I'm still entagled in the first chapter of Rebecca. Curiosity kills felines so I read the abridged version of the novel. Sure I love picaresque novels but Rebecca expands beyond my limits. Mind you, minutiae in a short story is a rare treat. And such mysteries ! There are six short stories in this collection, each sui generis and quirky. They are sort of chilling n shocking. I like all of them except The Photographer.

I believe in signs
I got it approved ! I was in an advanced state of anxiety n stress. And yesterday my father called up. Just like that. He said he felt like punching my number. Ha ! And he hung up just like that. That was it. I knew it. And today the blasted mountain cap melted.

the puny vampires who are after my sweet blood
Must be from the school bus or from the saloon. That's not the point. We have them plenty but they bite only me. The sweet blood. Of course. After 2 weeks they set about to taste the girls too and so Boss wakes up. Pest control. The masked killer comes n sprinkles the deathly poison all over our flat. We run out clutching our precious lungs and roam around n kills the whole day. Shopping a@ Al Bairaq Mall, Junk snacking @ KFC, droolwalking @ Avenues, coffee @ Starbucks, playtime @ Magic Planet and dinner @ Dakshin Ceasar's. From Abu Halifa to Abbassya. Now we are off to our cousins' for the slumber party. Howzat? I'm so loving this whole bloody bed bug episode.

Come, Tell Me How You Live - Agatha Christie Mallowan
Agatha Christie. I solved almost all her mysteries during my college days. I don't have that kind of patience anymore. So here I am catching up with Agatha Christie after almost 20 years ! And it's not at all with her crimes. Archaeological memoir ? Ha ! It's a hilariously funny diary. If you are/were a fan Agatha Christie, if you are/were in Middle East, you shouldn't miss this book. It's worth the dig.
